Gorga’s Standard Print and Paper Sizes

I am a traditionalist when it comes to prints. Some of the “baggage” that comes with this is the idea that the printed image should be smaller than the sheet of paper upon which it is printed. The details have changed over time, but here is my current practice.

Please do not interpret this information as an absolute; adapt as you see fit.

Paper Size                                           Image Size

8.5” x 5.5” (half letter size)                5” x 7”
8.5” x 11” (letter size)                         8” x 10”
13” x 19”                                              11” x 14”
17” x 22”                                              16” x 20”
11” x 17”                                              9” x 15” (special size)
