Generally, when looking objects with a lot of texture (and photos of them), I think about running my fingers across the texture, to feel it. Not this one! It’s fascinating and disturbing at the same time.
Technically, I think it would benefit from making it equally bright across the entire photo, i.e., lift the shadows on the left and bottom left.

Great texture and lighting. The skulls are a little creepy
I agree with Kathy. Good lighting, but many creepy skulls. Where was this taken?
I took it in an ossuary under a church in Portugal. The bones are the remains of several generations of monks.
The skulls and bones certainly add texture to this image and I agree, it is a little creepy!
