The things I really love about this image are the sculptural forms in the river bank and the way they sort of echo the trees, and the beautiful range of tones–dark to light–from foreground to background.
I have seen “yellow fog” like that, but only on Monhegan. Beautiful, Frank!
You have used the mist so effectively in this photo. The scene, which could be messy and complex, is instead simplified with a nice range of tones throughout the entire image. Nice capture.
Great use of sepia. It makes this a very compelling image.
This was my favorite one on your website. The composition flows, the mist intrigues and the sepia tones add an artistic appeal.
Don’t ya just love a misty morning? Great light and composition.
No sepia involved… that was the natural color of the early morning sun coming through the fog.

Can’t add to the comments except to say that I love the mood.
I too believe the mist is greatly effective in this photo. It makes the emotions in this picture.
I love the quietness of this image that you can almost feel. The fog is ethereal and fleeting and you captured it perfectly.
Splendid photo.
