Contrast is handled really well here. The surfer is strikingly darker than the background, and the board is strikingly lighter than the background. Then the doubling of the image in the reflection reinforces that effect. I really like that reflection!
I love the reflection in the wet sand, but I’m not sure what he’s doing. Those crashing waves are a great backdrop.
