I can easily think of this as a portrait. There is gesture with the stamens and aging with some of the leaves. As a viewer I can let it tell its story.

Great portrait of a flower! Sharp focus. This seems like more of a sepia tone than b/w or are my eyes tricking me?
Love that it is in B&W – brings out the details that may have otherwise been lost with viewers focusing on color.
