Quite the handsome pair of birds. They appear so alert, looking off the end of the frame! The composition works for me: just enough space around them. By my rough measurement, there’s the same amount of space from the left side of the frame to the head of bird on the left as there is space from the right side of the frame to the bill of the bird on the right. But the bodies are on the left side of the frame, so it looks like they are staring into more space than is behind them.
Goose and gander? Don’t know my geese so well but now I know where they migrate to.
