    1. Hi Barb,
This is a graffiti park in Plymouth. There were many examples of very elaborate graffiti but what caught my eye was this lone cross in the middle of it all.

  1. I don’t know where this is but I’m not surprised Cathy found it. The snow adds a disturbing component. Love a photo that leads to questions.

  2. The mixture of elements is so interesting—graffiti monuments, the cross, snow, the inconsistent light, the woods beyond. I never heard of a graffiti park. My head is spinning.

  3. The lighting at the back draws me in…and the journey definitely begins with the cross which is a great contrast with the tree – another interesting aspect. I like that you choose to keep the cross as the focus…otherwise it might have been a bit too busy, given all the surrounding graffiti. So nicely done.

  4. Beautiful! I love the composition, the colors, the lighting! The snow really makes it. Grass or leaves would not provide the wonderful contrast and cool tone.

  5. I had no idea what this is, but my initial thought was that they were totems of some sort. Then the colors and the sunlight in the back made me think instantly of stained glass, especially with the cross in the foreground. So, even though it’s a graffiti park, I got a religious connotation. Mysterious–and the light is perfect.
